Pure sweetness, this one. Our little adventure in the wildflowers was a fairytale playdate – we picked flowers, talked about ladybugs and fairies, and peacefully watched busy bees collecting pollen. Aw yes, definitely my kind of photo session!
Off to edit pics of her brother… Mr. GQ cute-stuff. To be continued…

I’m back. With pics of this handsome little man who melts my heart… especially when he’s being a goofy stinkerpotomous =)! I seriously had so much fun with these kids. Mommy and Grandma graciously took a hike ;) so I could get silly (without FEELING silly) and *connect* – it seems to work every time! I think sending the adults away sometimes helps to take pressure off the kids (and me), and we’re able to make it more of a playdate and less a matter of performance. Does that make sense? Anyway, I’m just in love with this kid… he’s one of those boys that you can spend a little time with, and just KNOW right off the bat that he’s going to grow up to be a wonderful husband and daddy:

Now, I should fully confess: the group shots including Grandma and mommy were… a little more challenging, to say the least (I think I’ll hold off posting those just yet haha!). Thank goodness the ladies had a good sense of humor about it, although I know they really wanted those sweet, relaxed, snuggly shots as badly as I did. It was, in fact, one of the main goals of the session. I have yet to figure out the secret to children + group shots - unless it involves them (sometimes) going along with MY naturally relaxed vibe, crazy tickle attacks, or me barking like a dog, quacking like a duck, or other humbling tactics that don’t ALWAYS work. I wonder if morning shoots would work better? I don’t know, maybe it’s just always going to be a toss-up. Photographer buddies – suggestions are welcome if you have any other methods or tricks that work for you (other than tequila or whiskey, that’s all I can think of lol!). On a happy end note, I DID capture some that I’m excited to share, but I think I might have tortured them to pull it off. Thank you sooo much Donna and Grandma B for your amazing patience ;)!
Alright, blablabla enough blabbering - I hope everyone is having a wonerful night! Hugs ~k~
