One of the things that made this day truly romantic was that Philip and Laura were able to let the typical frenzy of nerves and logistical buzz of the event melt to the wayside… this celebration was more about them being in love and making a lifetime commitment of marriage then it was about the actual wedding. I’m sure all the hard work and planning was a primary focal point for months and months leading up to the wedding, but when the clock struck 12 and the big day had arrived, their focus was each other. As simple and obvious as it sounds, not every wedding has that magical hidden element and it really seems to make all the difference in the world.
When Mike and I were talking about some of our favorite parts of the day, we both agreed that the “first look” and the reception toasts (not to mention the impromptu kissing competion!) ranked near the top. These two loveydoveys are surrounded by so many amazing people who genuinely love and support them with all of their hearts. Their niece and nephews skipping, hopping, and tumbling down the isle proclaiming “The bride is coming!” was another highlight that had everyone aww-ing and giggling. And the fact that each table at the reception had its own mini wedding cake was a unique touch and a definite crowd pleaser.

Laura and Phil, THANK YOU!!! Your gallery proof dvd will hopefully arrive today :)! xoxo ~Kim
